The goal of the PRS and Clinical Outcomes workgroup is to explore the associations between ploygenic risk scores (PRS) for various psychiatric conditions (e.g., bipolar, schizophrenia, major depression disorder) and healthcare utilization. Analyses are performed at Geisinger, Vanderbilt, and MGB. Examination of whether PRS for bipolar disorder or major depressive disorder are associated with indices of disease burden in patients with and without a mood disorder diagnosis. Specific variables of disease burden are the burden of comorbidity and healthcare utilization.
